I could leave it here. ‘How Are You Coping With This Century’ is my choice for best album of 2021. This is my subjective view of course, but you’d be wrong to discount it. There’s surreal stories, delicious 1960’s melodies and harmonies, jangle pop, ace musicianship, faux country & western, all wrapped up in McCartney-led Beatles vibes. I can’t see where Tom & Co. put a foot wrong here. It’s a wonderful piece of pop magic.
